Created with you in mind

Financial planners working alongside your accountants makes perfect sense

We couldn’t find our clients’ ideal financial planning service. So we created it.

In 2002, the board of Francis Clark had a realisation. The traditional back-and-forth between separate accountants and financial advisers serves no-one. So they founded a new company, giving clients a more joined-up approach – and Francis Clark Financial Planning was born.

Our clients loved the idea, and the subsidiary company grew and grew. What started as a team of four in the Newton Abbot has become a 65-strong, Chartered financial planning team, in nine locations across the south and west of England.

The premise is simple. Getting your financial planning and tax advice in one place gives you a single, coherent view of your finances. Your plans are considered from every angle, and we’ll happily work in partnership with your legal advisors. No repeating yourself, no miscommunication. And we can be certain you’ll get the same high standards of customer service, every time.

It also means we’re free to do things differently. For instance, we build long-term relationships, so we can take a lifetime financial planning approach. Forecasting and optimising your whole future, not just selling investment products. And we keep our investment committee separate – so your financial planner is only focused on you.

From our first conversation, we think you’ll understand why it works so well.

Chartered financial planners

We’re proud to be one of just 14% of financial planning firms in the UK to hold Chartered status.

It means you can be confident you’re working with a qualified expert, who has your best interests at heart. And that when we tell you we’ll do something, we’ll keep our word.

What’s more, we work hard to exceed the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) requirements for a Chartered financial planning firm. Three of our board are individually Chartered, along with 68% of our financial planners – and we’re working towards the rest.

An evolving service, guided by you

Our client listening programme puts your voice at the heart of decisions about the service you receive.
