Matt Garnett

Senior Chartered Financial Planner
FPFS
Matt Garnett

Matt is a Senior Chartered Financial Planner who began working in financial services in 2012, starting his career in banking. Having worked in various companies to help develop his knowledge and expertise, Matt decided to specialise in financial planning and joined us as a Financial Planner in 2019. He has since gone onto become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

While Matt’s first financial planning role saw him specialise in protection for clients, he works with clients on all aspects of financial planning whether that’s retirement planning, investment planning, inheritance planning, or business protection work. Business owners can also benefit from having access to his colleagues at PKF Francis Clark, meaning they can benefit from a full suite of services in one place.

Matt enjoys getting to know his clients and discovering what is important to them, before building a plan to help them achieve their goals and objectives. He prides himself on helping clients to understand the complex areas of financial planning and puts these aspects into a language which is easy for clients to understand.

Outside of work Matt enjoys spending time with his young family. He is a keen golfer and while his footballing days are behind him, he is still a devoted follower of Wolverhampton Wonderers.

We would be still working if it wasn’t for the expert guidance given to us by financial planner Matt Garnett and the team at Francis Clark. As a result, we’ve been fortunate enough to have already enjoyed six years of retirement.

Matt is extremely professional and has the ability to explain things in an easily understood way. He took time to get to know us as a couple and get to grips with our dreams and aspirations. We have confidence that he fully understands our goals and, as a result, has steered us through what would have a minefield without his help.

Philip and Helen Griffin.
